Lanzarote Art Galleries
(Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain)
A number of popular art galleries exist in Lanzarote, featuring a mixture of paintings and sculptures, including works by both famous Spanish and international artists. One of Lanzarote's most famous local artists, César Manrique (1919 - 1992) was responsible for much of the island's appearance, designing a number of notable buildings, gardens and a breathtaking wind sculpture. His old studio has now become a popular art gallery, with many outstanding works of art.
Another of Lanzarote's noteworthy art galleries is the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is located in Arrecife and housed in the attractive Castle of San José. Here are Lanzarote's main art galleries and art-related museums.
